Why use an itinerary designer

Planning a trip out west isn't like booking a city break.

The distances are big. The best experiences are off the beaten path. And the magic is usually found in places you wouldn't stumble across on your own.

Save hours of research

Instead of spending weeks comparing routes, towns, and attractions — you get a clear, thoughtfully planned journey designed around the experiences you're chasing.

Travel like an insider

Built from real travel experience — not just Google searches. The places that capture the spirit of the West: live music venues, ranch stays, legendary rodeos, and scenic backroads worth stopping on.

Make the most of your time

A good itinerary balances driving days, experiences, and downtime so your trip feels exciting — not exhausting.

Find the moments you didn't know to look for

A small-town rodeo. A hidden honky-tonk. A sunset over wide-open country. These are the memories that last — and they don't happen by accident.

My story

15 years of travel. A genuine love for the West.

With over 15 years of experience as a travel agent, I know what makes a trip work — timing, flow, and the small details that take you beyond the obvious.

My passion for travelling out west has come from guiding groups through outback Alaska and taking families across the Deep South — from Louisiana to Georgia. I love Nashville's Broadway and spending time in Fort Worth. Texas has my heart. Every song feels familiar there, and I never miss the Houston Rodeo.

As a mum of three, I understand how travel changes when life is full. Because of that, I don't just plan trips — I build journeys that make sense in real life. So you can skip the stress, skip the research, and step straight into the moments you'll remember long after you're home.

Questions

FAQ

Anything else — just ask.

Do you book flights, accommodation or tours? +

No — Out West Travel focuses purely on the planning. I create the itinerary and provide all the details needed to book your trip. You are free to book everything yourself or take the itinerary to your preferred travel agent. This keeps things flexible and lets you book when the timing is right.

What's included in an itinerary? +

Each itinerary includes a thoughtfully planned route, destination recommendations, accommodation suggestions, key experiences, and timing guidance. Depending on the route, it may also include ranch stays, rodeo and event ideas, scenic drives, small towns, and practical travel tips.

What's the difference between a signature itinerary and a custom plan? +

Signature itineraries are pre-designed routes based on experiences we know work. Custom planning is tailored entirely to you — your travel style, timeframe, budget, and interests. Both provide the same level of thoughtful planning, with different levels of personalisation.

Do I have to follow the itinerary exactly? +

Not at all. Think of the itinerary as a well-designed roadmap. You can follow it exactly or adapt it as you go depending on your interests and travel style.

When should I start planning? +

Ideally 6–12 months ahead, especially if you want to include popular events like rodeos, festivals, or seasonal ranch stays. That said, many trips can still be planned successfully with less notice.

Can I gift an itinerary? +

Yes — Out West Travel itineraries make thoughtful gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, or milestone trips. Gift options will be available through the shop.
